The vocational commitment of teachers of classical languages and cultures in Spain, combined with the growing isolation, if not extinction, of these disciplines in secondary and university education programmes, has led to the creation of a series of associations which, to a greater or lesser extent, promote classical studies and defend the teaching of Latin and Greek.
In this article, Juan Reyes Montero will discuss the main Spanish associations currently in existence, focusing on their origins, their objectives and the activities they carry out to achieve their goals.
