Ars docendi 06/2021

Premessa – Vorwort - Foreword [Adami]

In this issue of Ars docendi, we address a topic that currently seems to represent an unattainable goal: travel, a subject that is extremely important and interesting for classical high schools – not only from the perspective of travel itself, but also from a theoretical and critical point of view: why do we travel, in what circumstances, with whom, alone or in a group, to what destination, what do we expect from the trip itself, etc., etc.

Giulia Isetti, a collaborator at the European Academy in Bolzano, and Maria Krichbaumer, a Latin teacher at the Wittelsbacher Gymnasium in Munich, give us lots of ideas on how to plan this topic in class. Martina Adami adds some thoughts on a very interesting webinar for her students on tourism itself and its current implications, organised together with EURAC, where Giulia Isetti was also present.

Romualdo Marandino talks to us about “Archilochus and the song of the pain of living”.

I wish you all happy reading and hope that the Covid situation improves soon.
