Scifo, Florio (2020), Triumphus vulnerum. La resurrezione di Cristo in un’orazione settecentesca di Gaetano Manfroni. Ars docendi, 3, giugno 2020.
Florio Scifo, who holds a doctorate in Christian literature and classical philology (Università Pontificia Salesiana, Rome) and is currently chairman of the CLE Centre at the university of the same name, analyses in this essay a speech by the Roman abbot Gaetano Manfredi entitled ‘Triumphus vulnerum’ (1717) – interesting not least because of its very special title page and the close connection to and symbolic references to Pope Clement XI in the text.
