This paper presents the Spanish training system for a teacher of classical subjects. Firstly, it gives an overview of the situation of these subjects in Spanish secondary schools on the basis of the latest available report (academic year 2021-22). Secondly, based on the University of Malaga's syllabus, it explains what the Master's Degree in Teaching, a qualification required to teach in Spain, consists of. Finally, is pointed out the main aspect of improvement of this training.
