In connection with the increased emphasis on Neo-Latin in teaching in Austria, R. Weissengruber (Linz) would like to invite to read three texts (listed below) from the humanist period, which provide an interesting insight into the city of Vienna in the 15th century. Enea Silvio Piccolomini, cardinal, then pope, writer and culturally sensitive mind of the Renaissance period, vividly describes his impressions of Vienna.
