In this essay, Martina Adami (Bolzano) presents a recently concluded Erasmusplus project. Together with high schools from Munich, Romania, Greece and Amsterdam, pupils and teachers for two years tried to approach the topic of minorities starting with the treatment of minorities in antiquity, focusing in two meetings on linguistic minorities and then comparing the ancient concept with the different minorities in the world today - working not only at school, but also confronting the circumstances in the different countries involved in the project.
