In Germany, there are only a handful of professors teaching Latin language and culture, and in Italy there are even fewer, as far as I know. This is unfortunate for those who work in schools and see year after year how much the world, and with it young people, are changing. This is why the publication presented a few weeks ago by Matthias Korn at the University of Dresden is so important. Korn attempts to provide a brief overview of what is currently happening in teaching and, above all, in the various small and large exams in Latin and Greek in Germany, and gives us a wide range of ideas for rethinking how we work with today's young people.
