Adami, Martina (2022). Jahrhundert. Ars docendi, 13, dicembre 2022.
Martina Adami (Bolzano), after many years of working as a teacher and administrator, recalled her thesis, ‘The Function of the Chorus in Sophocles' Antigone and its Reception by Hölderlin, Hasenclever, Anouilh, Brecht, and Bremer,’ and noted with great pleasure how much research on the ancient chorus had expanded in recent years. In this issue of Ars docendi, she attempts to present the chorus and its role in ancient tragedy through various ideas and sources of reception up to the nineteenth century, which may also be of interest for cross-curricular/multidisciplinary projects at school.
